Shop Small in Selma

This Saturday is Small Business Saturday, a day designed to celebrate the small businesses in your community. It was started in 2010 by American Express and is a nationwide effort to drive shoppers to local merchants. Show support for the local businesses that support your community by shopping small.  Look for businesses in Selma with the Shop Small logo, signs, door mats, and shopping bags and get some of your holiday shopping done with our local stores!

On November 30,
#SHOPSMALL in #SELMA!

I Love Local!

November 23 kicked off our “I Love Local” campaign.  We encourage you to not only shop in Selma and Dallas County this holiday season, but throughout the year.  Our local businesses contribute so much to our children, our community, and those in need.  Support your local businesses by shopping at home first.  We want “I Love Local” to be more than just a campaign; we want it to be a mindset for our residents and we can only do that with your help.  Make a difference, shop local.

If you took pictures while shopping last Saturday, share them on social media and use #ILOVELOCAL

Be sure to follow Selma Tourism on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest!

Here are a few photos we shot while shopping in downtown Selma on November 23.  We would have had more pictures, but our hands were full from all the shopping!
